Who We Are

We are an early development school which uses the Montessori Childcare system of teaching for 1year -6 year olds. Our school is run on Christian principles.

SSM (Springing Stars Montessori) is a learning environment for young minds who willingly engage and embrace the freedom of an educational process that combines the love for finding, exploring, engaging and experimenting in a prepared environment to give the child answers to questions asked in life.

Our school’s mission statement, core values and beliefs establish a positive school culture and demonstrates an interconnectedness of enhanced academic outcomes. We provide a school climate where our Stars feel safe, supported, academically challenged, enthused about learning and are socially capable.

Scholar success at SSM is based on our unwavering commitment to combining our authentic educational program and the view of learning and traditional teaching methods that promote critical thinking skills.

Why Enroll Your Child With Us

We provide a loving, purpose-driven learning environment that nurtures confidence, curiosity and strong character in every child.

Springing Stars Montessori Beliefs

We believe that children do not exist in isolation and are therefore part of a family, community and a busy interactive world. The Springing Stars Montessori curriculum reflects the importance of the connections between all of these relationships with each other, the Christian faith, their culture, and the world around them.

Through active learning experiences that incorporate what the children are interested in, the children are encouraged to be initiators of their own learning. Our preschool helps the children grow in a friendly and educative environment so they develop healthily, intellectually and socially, thus becoming the stars they are meant to be.

Our school allows your children to discover who they are and what their interests are while enjoying the beauty of this world. Through their play, they engage in self-discovery, problem solving and collaboration with their peers. As they explore the environment examining relationships between objects, actions and people, the children learn a variety of concepts that they will later apply to new situations and experiences.

Children are adventurers and explorers, and as educators, our privilege is to guide them in understanding and expanding their discoveries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are helpful answers to the questions parents ask most — so you can feel confident and informed every step of the way.

We welcome children from 1 year to 6 years old, placing each child in a class that supports their specific stage of development. Our Creche (1+) provides gentle routines and early learning experiences that nurture curiosity and security. From Nursery through Kindergarten (3–6 years), children learn in a hands-on environment where they are free to explore, create, and grow with confidence. We simply meet your child right where they are, guiding them gently as they blossom.

Children arrive at school at 8:00am, where parents say goodbye at the gate and our warm staff gently guide each child to their class — a routine that helps build confidence and independence. School closes at 3:00pm, with complimentary after-school care provided until 5:00pm. If someone other than you will be picking up your child, please ensure they are listed on your authorized pick-up list, as your child’s safety is always our highest priority.

Children in our creche, nursery, and kindergarten classes wear school uniforms; however, children in the creche may also wear comfortable cotton clothing that allows for free movement and play. We kindly ask that all of your child’s belongings be clearly labeled, as this helps us keep their items safe and easy to identify.

We offer fresh, home-style lunches for children who are part of our feeding program, but families are also welcome to pack their own lunches — we simply ask that meals are healthy, balanced, and low in sugar. As a nut and shellfish-free school, we take food safety seriously, and we kindly request that every child comes to school each day with their own water bottle.

If your child is not feeling well, please keep them at home and notify us before 9:00am. Children should be fever- and symptom-free for at least 24 hours (without medication) before returning to school. If a child becomes ill during the day, we will contact you immediately and request that they be picked up within one hour.
